End to End Offering in Aluminium Casting Process
Melt Treatment - Grain Refining & Modification
The need for smaller grains is vital to achieving the required properties when pouring most cast aluminum alloys. Whether the desired results are high mechanical properties, leaker free castings, a cosmetic appearance or improved structural soundness, smaller grains are impactfully beneficial.
• In -situ formation of nuclei, such as TiB2, in the melt
• In-situ nuclei are very active, effective and well distributed throughout the melt
• Fine grain structure improves the solidified structure and reduces shrinkage porosity
• Grain refining improves mechanical properties of the casting, such as elongation
